As the team member responsible for coordinating and detailing the building’s envelope, I brought forward advanced insulation and rainscreen techniques to a traditional Portland fabric building comprised of wood-framing, fiberglass windows, and brick, metal panel, and synthetic plaster over fiber cement panels.
38 Davis is a six-story mixed-use development in the Old Town district of downtown Portland. Built from CLT and certified LEED Gold, the property has four commercial space floors beneath 65 apartments. Tenants share an outdoor courtyard defined by this new building and an adjacent historic building.
